Petrochemicals
Dyestuff Hellas is one of the most well-known petrochemical importers of Greece. Our company supplies the Rubber & Plastics Industries with a wide range of the most superior quality petrochemical products such as Synthetic Rubber (SBR / BR / NBR) which is a major ingredient of tires & rubber products, EPDM, Natural Rubber, Carbon Black, Rubber Process Oil and Rubber Chemicals.
Synthetic Butadiene Rubber (SBR)
The SBR 1500, 1700 series is a cold emulsion copolymer of Styrene and Butadiene. It is one of the most widely used synthetic rubbers. It provides excellent uniformity compared with natural rubber. Its extrusion properties exceed those of natural rubber and stocks have less tendency to scorch in processing. It is classified by the applied emulsifier, extender oil and stabilizer.
Our main products are SBR 1500, 1500S, 1502LL, 1507L, 1507, 1507H, 1712L, 1712C, 1712H, 1721, 1724, 1745, 1778K. In addition, we can also offer the grades SBR 1723l, 1723c, 1723, 1723g, 1739, 1763, 1769, 1783, 1789, 1793 & 1799 which have lower content of PCA (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) oil, always in accordance to European Legislation.
Applications
Tire tread, Footwear, Rubber hoses, Rubberized cloth, Conveyor belts, Other mechanical goods.
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR)
NBR is a cold emulsion copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. It has excellent resistance to hydrocarbon solvents, vegetable oils, acids, alkalis and many other liquids and gases.
Resistance to abrasion, heat & water and flexing properties are also provided by our NBR.
NBR is suitable for injection molding of rubber products with various shapes and it can be used with a relatively large amount of plasticizer.
Applications
Packings, Gaskets, Hoses, Rolls, Shoe soles & heels, Other applications requiring oil resistance.
Butadiene Rubber (BR)
BR is a solution of high–cis polybutadiene polymer produced with Ziegler – Natta catalyst base. BR has a 1.4-cis content of more than 96%. In addition to the very low glass transition temperature of around 100 °C, it has excellent abrasion resistance, resiliency, aging resistance and weather resistance, which has made it the most widely-used synthetic rubber along with SBR.
We mainly supply BR 01 & 01L. BR 01 & 01L which are usually used in tires, footwears, golf ball, belt, rubber hoses and other mechanical rubber products.
Applications
Tires, Footwear, Golf balls, Belts, Mechanical rubber products.
Natural Rubber
Natural rubber, also called as caoutchouc, consists of polymers of the organic compound isoprene, with minor impurities of other organic compounds plus water. Forms of poly-isoprene that are used as natural rubbers are classified as elastomers.
Natural rubber is one of the main raw materials in the production of rubber products and it is used extensively in a wide number of applications and rubber end-products, either alone or in combination with other materials. Natural Rubber exhibits unique physical and chemical properties and is often modeled as hyper-elastic.
We can supply a large number of natural rubber grades of superior quality, from leading producers around the world.
Based on quality standards of excellence, our grades have a large stretch ratio, high resilience, electrical resistance, high resistance to abrasion and excellent waterproof properties.
Main Grades: SMR / SIR / STR 10, 20 / SPR 5, 10, 20 / SVR 3L, 10, 20, / RSS 1, 3 / CV 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68
Applications
Tires, Treads of vehicle tires, Hoses, Belts, Conveyor belts, Pump housings and piping used in the handling of abrasive sludge, Rollers for a wide variety of devices.
Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPDM)
EPDM , a type of synthetic rubber, is an elastomer characterized by a wide range of applications. It is sub-categorized to EPM rubber, which is a copolymer of ethylene and propylene, & EPDM rubber, which is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and a diene-component.
We can supply a wide range of EPDM rubbers, including EPM grades, EPDM of low-diene grades, EPDM of medium-diene grades, EPDM of low-diene grades, Oil-Extended EPDM grades and MAH-grafted EP(D)M grades, which are EP(D)M grades grafted with maleic anhydride.
Our EPDM qualities have an outstanding resistance to heat, ozone and weather as well to polar substances and steam. They have also excellent electrical insulating properties and good resistance to ketones, ordinary diluted acids and alkalines.
Applications
Seals, Glass-run channels, Radiators, Garden and appliance hose, Tubing, Pond liners, Washers, Belts, Electrical insulation, Vibrators, O-rings, Solar panel heat collectors, Speaker cone surrounds, Roofing membranes, Geo-membranes, Rubber mechanical goods, Plastic impact modification, Thermoplastic, Vulcanizates and many other applications.
Carbon Black
Carbon Black is basically elemental Carbon in the form of extremely fine particles, which have an amorphous molecular structure.
Most of the Carbon Black produced and used nowadays is made by Furnace process and is presented in the form of pellets. Furnace process has considerable advantages compared to other process due to its great versatility, which allows the production of many types/grades of Carbon Black.
The choice of the Carbon Black grade has a major impact on a compound and is one of the most important factors which influence the properties of the final product.
Applications
Based on its chemical composition, chromatic features, colloidal features and size of particles, Carbon Black is used in many different industries, such as:
- Rubber & Rubber related industries – About 25-30% of rubber weight consists of carbon black
- Plastics industry – In order to chromatize and protect against heat, electric features, durability features & destruction due to ultraviolet rays
- Ink industry – Especially to publish newspapers
- Paint industry – For chromatization purposes
